Expat remortgages UK property from Dubai

We’ve recently helped a client remortgage their UK property from Dubai. The client left the property and rented it out as part of their relocation to the UAE to pursue a career opportunity. Once the fixed rate expired the current lender wasn’t prepared and didn’t offer an Expat Buy to let solution, so we were able to remortgage the property onto a tailored solution for a client living abroad. This has enabled the clients to keep the UK property as an investment whilst living out in the UAE, benefiting from the capital growth and rental income without the need to sell the asset as previously feared.
